A GRADUATE from Huddersfield University is helping to bring West Yorkshire's wool industry into the 21st century.

Two years on and Michelle now manages Calderdale Carpets' clients in London.Adding just a touch of luxury is the master suite, which takes up the entire second floor and includes a dressing area and en-suite bathroom.* SWEET DREAMS: The Collins show home by Miller Homes Yorkshire, at Calder View, Brewery Lane, Dewsbury (S)Customers are able to arrange their own finance for up to 75% of the fee, with Miller Homes providing the remaining amount."I am as passionate now, if not more so, as when I first graduated in surface pattern design - and what better way to fulfil this passion by visualising ideas and translating them for clients using such a fabulous natural fabric to produce quality products in such a well-established industry?"* KEEPING BUSY: Graduate Michelle Clitherow, of Dewsbury-based Calderdale Carpets, is constantly researching new ideas for designsCall 0800 840 8607 or see the website www.millerhomes.co.uk for details."My placement experiences gave me exposure to the world of interiors and I loved it. Whereas other students on my course were keen to break into fashion, I had a keen interest and pull towards interiors," she said.Interior design colour is responsible for glow of your space which in turn reflects the mood and purpose of its creation. Colour combination through various paint techniques provides the trick of giving every part of the space a different theme.Calder View, from housebuilder Miller Homes, has commissioned Yorkshire-based interior designer Jeanette Holmes to create a vibrant interior for the latest show home at its popular development.Home decoration is the art of decorating a room so that it looks good, is easy to use and function wells with the existing architecture. The goal of home decoration is to provide certain "feel" for the room, it encompasses applying wallpaper, painting walls and other surfaces, choosing furniture and fittings and providing other decorations like artifacts and sculptures. There is a very thin line between designing and decoration. Interior decoration is generally focused more on finishes, such as wallpaper, paint, window covering and furnishings. Interior design leads to be more integrated with the architecture and might also be involved in room layout, cabinet designs, windows and door placement and so on.Michelle Clitherow, 25, who gained a first class honours degree in fashion and interiors at Huddersfield in 2009, manages the London sales and design operations for Dewsbury-based Calderdale Carpets."The house looks quite simply amazing and we are sure it will inspire prospective buyers, particularly those who may be interested in The Collins property.""Michelle and the team produce top-quality, fantastically creative designs, quickly and consistently," he said. "All of them are big on ideas, which they express so well and are great at translating clients' visions easily into paper, on screen and into wool and yarn."Michelle said: "When I first got the job, I was slightly nervous about working with a natural, raw material that was completely new to me.The Collins, along with other selected properties at Calder View, are available through Miller Homes' equity loans scheme, MiWay.Some of the most commonly used colour techniques used include colour washing, sponging & dry brushing. Colour plays an integral part of your dcor. It has the ability to alter the perception of space in many ways - by enhancing a beautiful detail, by subduing an undesirable feature, by imposing scale or by simple compensating for the lack of architectural character. So it is important that you opt for the right combinations. Colours give the essential character to any space. Be it the living room or kitchen, bedroom or lounge. Some of the most commonly used decorative colour ideas include Glam Decor, Cool dcor, Natural Dcor & vibrant dcor. Interior decoration is costly and only the rich seems to afford it. Hence if opted for it is important that you ensure that you get the right colours & paints that would suit your taste and last for a long time. This allows buyers to confidently own 100% of their property but pay from only 75% of the price now - and the further 25% later, subject to terms and conditions. For example you could pay as little as pounds 108,000 for a Collins property under MiWay."Working with a natural eco-friendly material in a highly established and esteemed industry that had strong roots within Yorkshire really appealed to me".The Collins house type, currently priced from pounds 144,000, is a three-bedroomed townhouse, with spacious ground-floor accommodation.CAPTION(S):
